Ever have problems taking that perfect photo? Can't frame a straight shot? Need help getting a level image? Use gyroCam! This full-featured camera app has a killer new feature: it automatically levels photos in real time, while shooting. …..
Rated 4/5 based on 3 customer reviews.
From the developer
Margie, mhiggins32qj, and joel cleare, if you do not like the quality of photos, there are two things to check. First, make sure you have the app set to "Large shot" or "Timer" mode, both of which use the full resolution of the camera. The "Small shot" and "Burst" modes use a reduced resolution for speed (640x480 on newer devices, 400x300 on the iPhone 3G). Those modes still take perfectly clear photos, but they are small and viewing them at the resolution of the device photo album may give the appearance of poor quality. Second, switch the app to "gyro clip" or "gyro mask" mode. You may have it in "gyro fill" mode which resizes the corrected image to regular resolution and can impact quality. Gyro clip and mask modes do not resize and will preserve the native pixels of the image as they come from the camera. Those are the modes to use if you want to prioritize quality.
Please note that gyroCam has many photo options because users have requested this level of flexibility -- you can run the full spectrum between small/fast and large/high-quality. The app can do rapid fire shots in action situations, or capture full size high-quality images that take advantage of the full camera capabilities. This flexibility does require you to explore and setup the app to your own preferences, however. Please tap the "i" button to view the app's manual and help page, which will give more information. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me using the support link up above.
George L, as noted in the description, the app automatically corrects the level frame of a photo. That type of correction is based on rotation, which is where the gyro comes in handy (and where the app gets its name). The app does not make any corrections for motion or blur, and doesn't claim to. If you have any questions, please contact me using the support link up above.

My wife has shaky hands when it comes to using her iPhone 4 camera and keeping the horizon straight. This app makes her a PRO! I use it for that and all the other great features in it. The only minor problem is the 4x zoom, of course it's gonna be grainy but hey it's a PHONE..... Great job on this app!!
